Adult Basic Sailing

Learn to sail on our RS Quests in our popular co-ed beginner's sailing course, concentrated into two consecutive weekends (12 hrs total). This course covers all the essentials to start you sailing on your own. With lots of hands-on practice with just two to a boat, this class is also recommended for experienced novices.

Schedule: A 4 class session (must be attended consecutively) takes place over 2 set weekends

Prerequisites: Ability to swim. There is a swim assessment. ​Ages 17 & up. 

Adult Intermediate Sailing

Adult Intermediate Sailing is a direct follow-up to our Basic course. This class is a confidence builder designed to reinforce basic skills through plenty of sailing drills and chalk-talks. Students sail in our RS Quests. Many students repeat this course prior to taking our advanced course.

Schedule: A 4 class session (must be attended consecutively) takes place over 2 set weekends

Prerequisite: Ability to swim, Adult Basic Sailing or equivalent experience.

Adult Advanced Sailing

Adult Advanced Sailing is for our most skilled sailors. Learn single-handed sailing skills like roll-tacking, hiking technique, sail shape control, racing fundamentals, beach landings, capsize recovery, and more. Classes are small and have plenty of personalized coaching.

Schedule: A 4 class session (must be attended consecutively) takes place over 2 set weekends

Prerequisite: Ability to swim, Adult Intermediate Sailing or equivalent experience

Refund Policy: Full refund less 4% refund fee if cancelled 21 days before the course start date. Courses cancelled within 21 days of the course start date are not eligible for refunds.

Change Policy: No class changes may be made within 21 days before the course start date.


Adult Catamaran Sailing

Learn the tricks to handling a catamaran in a one-time 3-hour class on our Hobie Getaways.

Schedule: Alternating Saturday mornings, 9:30-12:30. Some previous experience required.

Prerequisites: Ability to swim. Experienced novice ability required (or our ABS class).
